The Bigs 2
It’s the last stop. The final destination. The BIG SHOW. It’s where dreams born in backyards are finally realized. Where the fences are FARTHER. The grandstands are LARGER. And the spotlight is BRIGHTER. It’s where thieves run FASTER, pitchers throw HARDER and the sluggers go DEEPER. Where the bats are BIGGER, the spikes are SHARPER and the comebacks are harder to swallow. It’s where home runs are RUTHIAN and fastballs CATCH FIRE. It’s where a monster lurks in left. Where bombers terrorize the night. And where the confines aren’t always so friendly. It’s THE BIGS. And come July, everything about them is about to get BIGGER.

Kids have it for the Wii and are addicted. Nice to have it for the DSi, for when we are on the go. -- kids are addicted!
Let me get the bad news out of the way first.
This is the first baseball game I can recall with no option for a season, playoffs or All Star Game. It would have been great but it is still fairly good without them. The graphics are good considering the limitations of the system. It has all Major league parks & all players on the roster as of 2009 spring training.
It took me a little bit of play to get the pitching & a little longer for the hitting. It has a Home Run derby & something called Pinball which is any player you choose standing @ one end of Fremont Street in las Vegas & you try to hit home runs to score points by hitting bulidings & targets. I would rather they scrapped that & gave you either an All Star /Season or playoff option.
All in all, it is a marked improvement over the Derek Jeter one & is worth the investment even with its shortcomings. -- Better But Not As Good As It Could Have Been
